The last stop for the RV crew was in San Luis Obispo, California to finish covering the friendly category. We were thrilled to have our last leg of the journey be with the Rogue Riders.
San Luis Obispo was a beautiful small town and our first stop in the morning was at the tourist landmark, Bubblegum Alley. Bubblegum Alley is lined with an assortment of colorful chewing gum that any passerby can stick on the wall. An engaging spot for tourists if you ask me. The Rogue Riders made sure to leave their mark by placing their Best Of The Road card in their chewed gum at the top of the wall.
After our sugar intake of gum, it was time to go wine tasting. We visited three local vineyards learning how each was started. The team enjoyed the breathtaking views while sharing food and laughs with the owners.
Once the wine tasting concluded, we went ziplining at Margarita Adventures. For someone who has an intense fear of heights, I had to either choose to be apart of the fun or watch all my friends soar above me while I waited on the ground. I decided to conquerer my fear and take a leap of faith starting with the Renegade zipline, which is 1,300 feet across. Epic!
After several screams and four ziplines later, the RV crew and the Rogue Riders were safely back on solid ground. We felt ecstatic to be able to soar on the Renegade, Woodlander, Hilltopper, and the Archway ziplines all while enjoying breathtaking views of vineyards, forests, and mountains.
San Luis Obispo proved to be beautiful, fun, and friendly and the people truly made our stay memorable. Thank you San Luis Obispo for making us feel right at home.
